The specification service is open to all clients looking to re-spec or renovate a space. It can be offered as a shopping list of materials, which can be handed over to the client to purchase, or alternatively we can facilitate the procurement and installation, with the help of contractors or tradesmen.
A typical process includes
Consultation: Meet with the client, review the project brief and discuss the scope of works to be carried out and costed for approval.
Cost proposal: On review of the briefing and scope of works, a cost proposal is compiled which details the scope agreed. Once
the costs have been agreed a contract is drawn up and signed before any work can take place. An Invoice is submitted
for the first deposit payment.
Selection of hard & soft finishes: Hard material finishes such as floor finish, wall finish, kitchen, bathroom finishes etc are selected and approved by the client. Soft finishes such as window treatments, bedding and upholstery are also selected and approved. This spec can be left with the client to order themselves or can be part of the interior design package to procure/deliver and install.
Sourcing materials: Finding suppliers who can provide the materials for the budget specified by the client.
Procurement/ delivery & install of material: Process of ordering all approved items by the client to which will be delivered on time and installed. Studio17 can arrange the contractors or tradesmen or leave it to the client to organize. Studio 17 will oversee that the install is carried out as planned.
